Svaneti Georgia –new ski touring paradise
Svaneti is a remote mountainous area in the High Caucus, which applies to the new ski and freeride paradise. Spacious untouched slopes that extend up to 4000 m high. Extremely dry snow, which can not be found in the Alps offers enjoyable skiing a deep powder. The top ski range is rounded by many four and five thousand meters high peaks. The first of them is one of the most striking mountains in the world, Ushba 4710m. And of course, there is also the highest mountain of Georgia, Shkara 5203m.
The new Tetnuldi ski resort under the same name peak Tetnuldi 4858m allows skiing at a height between 2200 and 3100 meters. Mestia – Caucasian Chamonix
We will arrange the base in Mestia, the last town below the mountains. The accommodation is simple but comfortable enough. Svaneti people, correctly named Svan, are friendly and open. Despite the opening of tourism, they respect the centuries-long Svantian tradition.
The whole region of Svaneti is best known for the village of Ushguli and the town of Mestia. Ushguli lies at 2200 meters and is the highest settlement in Europe. Mestia is like a kind of Chamonix in the Caucasus. Without a doubt, the mountain center surrounded by beautiful mountains. It’s definitely great place for skiing, mountaineering, trekking, and hiking. In addition, in the Mestia it is happening both in summer and in winter.
Our program – Georgia ski touring and freeride every day
In fact, we will spend our days skiing. On the program are daily tours with 600 to 1000 m ascents. in other words, just as many meters of enjoyable skiing. Since we help many with a cable car, this means 2-3 times as much downhill. However, the program is not completely defined, because we have let the opportunity to adapt to the snow conditions and the weather. Just like the abilities and wishes of the participants.
