1. Day: LJUBLJANA
Arrival in Slovenia. Transfer from the airport to the capital Ljubljana. Accommodation in a hotel in the city’s charming old town. After a short rest, a guided Ljubljana tour follows with the beauties of old town situated on the banks of Ljubljanica river, the secrets of Slovenian history and wonderful views from Ljubljana’s castle.
2. Day: KAMNIK, VELIKA PLANINA PASTURE, LOGARSKA VALLEY
After breakfast, we leave Ljubljana and head towards Kamnik, an old medieval town in the footsteps of Kamnik Savinja Alps. Short walking tour through the old town and after that a drive through beautiful Kamniška Bistrica Valley. Stop at the spring of the river and ride with the cable car to Velika Planina (Big Pasture) mountain plateau on 1500 m above sea level. A short hike to the herdsmen’s settlement, which is one of the few of such size in Europe and its distinct by its typical architecture. We will enjoy an amazing view of the Alps and the valley and try a traditional shepherd’s meal. After a ride back to the valley we continue driving to Logarska valley, which is part of a regional park and is situated in the heart of Kamnik Savinja Alps. Accommodation in a hotel in the middle of the valley and dinner.
3. Day: LOGARSKA VALLEY AND MT. OKREŠELJ
After breakfast starts hiking through the valley over beautiful green alpine meadows on a comfortable trail. Hike to the waterfall Rinka and continue towards Okrešelj mountain hut on 1396 m. Time for a refreshing mountain snack and return down to the valley. We leave Logarska valley and continue towards Jezersko village. Stop at the beautiful mountain lake and continue driving to Lake Bled. Accommodation in a hotel close to the lake and dinner.
4. Day: LAKE BLED AND VINTGAR GORGE
After breakfast time for exploring Lake Bled area, the most picturesque alpine lake in the world. Boat ride with traditional Pletna boat to the island and visit the oldest Slovenian castle 300 metres above the lake with the most amazing view of the lake. After tasting the famous Bled cream cake we go hiking through the countryside to wonderful Vintgar Gorge and return on foot as well. Dinner at the hotel.
5. Day: LAKE BOHINJ AND SEVEN LAKES VALLEY
After breakfast we drive to Bohinj Lake, the biggest Slovenian lake, which is situated in the heart of Triglav National Park. We start hiking at Blato Pasture and continue over shepherds pastures to Seven Triglav Lakes Valley. On the way we admire the beatiful and wild nature of the area. We stop at Double lake and have a proper mountain meal. We return to the starting point on a different route. Dinner and accommodation in the hotel at Bohinj Lake.
6. Day: SOČA RIVER VALLEY
After breakfast we drive from Bohinj to Upper Sava valley and continue over highest Slovenian mountain pass Vršič on 1600 m to beautiful Soča river valley. It is a panoramic drive with stunning views all along the way. We stop on the way at numerous monuments connected to the WWI and natural attractions (waterfalls, gorge, spring of Soča river). Accommodation in a hotel in Bovec and in afternoon best rafting in Slovenia on emerald Soča river.
Optional dinner in one of the best restaurants in the world, Hiša Franko, owned by 2018 best world female chef, Ana Roš.
7.Day: PIRAN AND ŠKOCJAN CAVE
In the morning drive from Bovec to Piran, the most beautiful town on the coast from 9th century. Guide walk through the town and to the town’s wall. Free time for lunch or bathing. In the afternoon drive from Piran to Škocjan cave, a UNESCO world heritage. Guided visit of the cave with the deepest underground canyon in the world. In late afternoon drive back to Ljubljana’s airport.
