Rafting and kayaking along the Soča River, zip-lining, hiking, and cycling are just a few of the adventure activities available. Hikers can find endless paths across the Julian Alps, including the recently completed Juliana hiking trail, a 270km trail divided into 16 stages with daily distances ranging from 17km to 25km.

What are the main Slovenian sights, a must to see?

Where is the best place to stay if I want to see the whole of Slovenia?

Slovenia measures 200 km diagonally, so the land is possible to explore from one point, you just have to choose the right one. And our apartments in Kranj are positioned just perfectly, as capital city Ljubljana is only 25 kilometers to the south, and lake Bled is 25 kilometers north of the apartment.  Ljubljana airport is just 6 kilometers from our apartment,, and we offer a shuttle service from airport to our apartment.

When’s the best season to visit?

During summer months you will discover Ljubljana’s social life on popular local spots such as food market, park Tivoli and on many live open air festivals. Lake Bled is ideal for swimming, and the Alps are welcoming climbers, hikers, cyclers from whole world.

In the spring (May-June), the meadows are ablaze with wildflowers, and the mountain peaks are blanketed with snow, and the weather is pleasant, if a little chilly at times.

Autumns in Slovenia (September to early November) is also unforgettable. The fall colors are spectacular, the crowds were sparse, and the package holidays are slightly less expensive during this period.

What kind of electrical adaptor do I require?

The Europlug (the two-pole plug with round pins, rated up to 250 volts and currents up to 250 volts) is used in Slovenia, so any European adapter should work. Check the voltage compatibility of your electronics and other plug-in devices; you might need a converter as well.

What is the best way for me to get around Slovenia?

Slovenian trains and buses are clean, dependable, and easy to navigate. If you choose to get around on foot or by bike, there are plenty of walking and cycling routes to choose from. You can rent a car if you want to go somewhere remote (like the wildly famous Hiša Franko restaurant and guesthouse), but you won’t need one for the most part, and getting around without one is easy.
