Itinerary

Day 1Blato – Lakes Valley – Prehodavci

Begin your Seven Lakes Valley Hike close to Bohinj Lake in Triglav National Park. Afterward from mountain pasture Blato you will hike through the rare forests to Planina pri Jezeru (1453 m) pasture, which is placed at the little mountain lake. Enjoy the change of scenery as you will come from the forest to the attractive mountain pastures where shepherd communities are still operating and producing dairy products. Further on the trail will get steeper after a while as it will turn towards the saddle Štapce (1851 m). Certainly is worth the effort! Because down below you will see a wonderful valley of Seven Triglav Lakes with a Double lake in front.

Following a short descent and you will be at Double Lake, enjoying a traditional Slovenian mountain lunch and beautiful scenery. Then you will continue through the forest up to Valley of the Seven Lakes to the biggest lake, called Ledvička. After this lovely lake, you will see 3 more, when you continue your hike to the Zasavska Hut. Later, you will spend the night in this hut with particular gorgeous surroundings and stunning views over the valley.

Day 2Prehodavci – Za Kopico – Dedno polje – Pl. Blato

On the second day, you will take a different trail, so that you can see more of this significant park. First, you will be crossing some hills, where the path will go steeper and finally achieve pass Vrata (1938 m). Later follows the descent through authentic Valley Za Kopico. After that from pasture Dedno Polje, you return on a comfortable path back to where you started, to mountain pasture Blato.

Is it possible to climb Mt. Triglav in one day?

To climb it in one day you have to be in excellent fitness condition, as it takes around 6h 30min to ascent the top and then descent on the same day. But you will definitely get more authentic experience with 2 days in the mountains.

Where there be snow?

Winter in the Alps is usually longer and snow could fall from November to mid-May. So you can even expect snow till the end of June. But it all depends on how much snow falls and how warm the spring is.

Is the tour still on in case of rain?

That all depends on the weather forecast. If there is just some light rain we will still go on a tour. However, if it’s gonna be heavy rain, we will try to move your tour to another most convenient date. In either case, we constantly check the weather forecast so we can arrange the best trip for you.
