Climbing Mount Triglav

The highest peaks of individual countries and mountain ranges all around the world are the most desirable goals for most mountaineers. This applies, of course, to climbing Mount Triglav, the highest peak of Slovenia and the Julian Alps. With reaching the summit of Mount Triglav, regardless of the route, will be satisfied enough.

The least demanding trail to climb Mount Triglav is the path from Pokljuka Plateau, where the minimum altitude difference must be defeated. And the most picturesque one is the path across the Seven Triglav Lakes Valley, whether you are ascending or descending.

Especially challenge one is from the Vrata Valley, where the path approaches the magnificent north wall of Mount Triglav. Therefore, simply the name Wall, because of its meaning, size, and marking. The Wall is almost 4 km wide and 1 km high, with three protected paths and about 100 climbing routes.

The most demanding protected path to the top of Mount Triglav is Ferrata along the western edge of The Wall. And finally, the better-prepared mountaineers can enter one of the climbing routes in The Wall with an experienced guide. The lightest of them is 800 meters high Slovenian route (grade II-III).
