Itinerary

Day 1Vrata valley (1000 m) - Kredarica (2515 m)

First of all, meet with a guide and transfer from your accommodation to the starting point.

We start our Mount Triglav Climb tour in picturesque Vrata alpine glacial valley at an elevation of 1000m in Triglav National Park. Firstly we walk past the famous Aljaž hut at the end of the valley from where we start our steep ascent on Tominškova trail. In the bottom part it leads us through a beautifull forest. After about 1,5h of walking we reach the climbing part. We put on our harness and ferrata kit and walk along a very exposed terrain. There are cables and pitons helping us along the way. This part also lasts about 1,5h. After this the climb gets more gradual when we reach Triglavski podi.  Soon we reach the highest lying Slovenian mountain hut named Triglav hut at Kredarica plateau on 2515 m. We get a traditional mountain lunch at the hut and enjoy a magnificent sunset. We spend the night in the hut.

Day 2Kredarica (2515 m) - Mt. Triglav (2864 m) - descent to the valley

We start our summit push eary in the mornig to avoid the crowds on the peak. This is the most demanding part of the climb, but with a professional guidance and a proper equipment, you will be completely safe. Certainly, that will be a memorable experience. Along the way, there are also cables and pitons for easier progression. First, we reach Mali Triglav peak and then continue on the ridge with unforgettable views towards the bigger brother, Mt. Triglav (2864 m). Once on the highest Slovenian mountain, you will enjoy amazing views around you. (2h)

After we start descending slowly down towards the valley, this time we take a different trail called Cez Prag, which is more appropriate for descending. We reach the valley sometime in the afternoon.
