Panoramic hike to Komna plateau, above Bohinj Lake from Vogel Ski resort:
Spend your one day hike in Triglav National Park on a panoramic trail from Vogel ski resort to Komna mountain plateau. Furthermore enjoy amazing views of the Julian Alps, our highest mountain Mt. Triglav and Bohinj Lake. Later hike below the ridge, where an old Yugoslavian Rapall border used to go. On your way, you will also see some old border stones and military ruins. Meanwhile, enjoy in rich mountain flora and see some mountain animals, like wild mountain goats, eagles, and marmots. Above all, at the end of the hike visit waterfall Savica, the spring of river Sava. Or for example, even refresh yourself with a jump to crystal clear Bohinj Lake.

Description of the hike:
You will start your hike to Komna plateau near Bohinj lake. Firstly, you will go with a cable car up to Vogel ski resort at 1550 m. Certainly, this is the best viewpoint in the region, you can see the highest Slovenian mountain Mt Triglav and beautiful Bohinj lake below. In general, the views over the Julian Alps are magnificent in good weather.
From there you will continue firstly on a comfortable path through the forest and then gradually climb to the saddle on 1800 m. Later, from there you descend to mountain hut Komna. Furthermore, you will have nice views over the lake and surrounded mountains. You will also see border stones and some military ruins on the way. At the hut, you can also try traditional Slovenian mountain lunch. Then descend to 78 m tall Savica waterfall, the spring of river Sava Bohinjka.
